Why Make This Recipe

Hocus Pocus S’mores Pops are a fun and spooky twist on the classic s’mores treat. These pops are perfect for Halloween parties, kids’ gatherings, or any time you want a sweet treat that brings a smile to your face. They combine crunchy graham crackers, gooey marshmallow creme, and rich chocolate, all while being super easy to make. Plus, you can decorate them to give a playful ghostly vibe!

How to Make Hocus Pocus S’mores Pops

Ingredients

  • 12 graham crackers, halved
  • 1/2 cup marshmallow creme
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3 Tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1 bag candy eyes
  • 1 container black cookie frosting

Directions

  1. Spread about 1 tablespoon of marshmallow creme on one half of each graham cracker.
  2. Place a popsicle stick halfway into the marshmallow creme, so it sticks out like a handle.
  3. Top with the other half of the graham cracker to make a sandwich.
  4. Arrange the sandwiches on a parchment-lined baking sheet and place them in the freezer while you prepare the chocolate sauce.
  5. In a medium heatproof bowl, microwave the chocolate chips and coconut oil together. Heat them in 20-second intervals, stirring each time, until melted and smooth. This will take about 1 minute in total.
  6. Dip each graham cracker sandwich into the melted chocolate until they are fully coated. Use a butter knife or silicone spatula to ensure all sides are covered.
  7. Place a candy eye on each S’mores Pop, positioned on the far right side about halfway down.
  8. Return the pops to the baking sheet and refrigerate until the chocolate hardens, which should take about 15 minutes.
  9. Once set, use the black cookie frosting to draw a circle around each candy eye and add two semicircles at the outer corners. You can also make little "stitches" on the chocolate-covered sections.
  10. Refrigerate again until everything is set, which will take at least another 15 minutes.

How to Serve Hocus Pocus S’mores Pops

These pops are perfect as a Halloween dessert or a fun snack. Place them on a themed platter and watch your guests enjoy them! They can also be wrapped in clear bags and tied with a ribbon for a cute party favor.

How to Store Hocus Pocus S’mores Pops

Store any leftover pops in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for up to a week. If they last that long—good luck resisting!

Tips to Make Hocus Pocus S’mores Pops

  • Make sure the marshmallow creme is spread evenly to help keep the pops together.
  • Be careful when melting the chocolate; stir well to avoid burning it.
  • You can vary the toppings based on your theme. Consider using different colors of candy or sprinkles.

Variation

If you want to switch things up, try using white chocolate instead of semisweet chocolate for a different flavor. You can also use different kinds of cookies instead of graham crackers.

FAQs

1. Can I use other types of chocolate?

2. How long does it take to make these pops?
From start to finish, it takes about 1 hour, including freezing and setting times.

Absolutely! Homemade marshmallow will give a fresher taste, but it may be a little trickier to work with.
