Halloween Cookie Cups are the perfect treat to celebrate the spooky season. They combine the classic taste of chocolate chip cookies with fun Halloween-themed colors and sprinkles. These cookie cups are not only delicious but also bring a festive spirit to any Halloween gathering. They are easy to make and are sure to impress your family and friends.

How to Make Halloween Cookie Cups

Ingredients:

  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
  • Butter and egg as called for on cookie mix pouch
  • 1 container (1.70 oz) Betty Crocker Spooky Sprinkles (about 1/3 cup)
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker Rich and Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Betty Crocker Purple and Orange Neon Gel Food Colors

Directions:

  1. Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the cookie mix, flour, softened butter, and egg until you have a soft dough.
  3. Fold in 1/4 cup of the candy sprinkles.
  4. Shape the dough into 36 balls, each about 1 1/4 inches wide. Place one ball in each of 36 ungreased mini muffin cups.
  5. Use a wooden spoon to make an indentation in the center of each ball.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the cookies are light golden brown.
  7. As soon as they come out of the oven, repeat the indentation in each cookie with the end of a clean wooden spoon to create a 1-inch opening. Clean the spoon as needed with a paper towel.
  8. Let the cookie cups cool in the pan for 15 minutes. If necessary, use a small knife to loosen the edges.
  9. Move the cookies to a cooling rack and let them cool completely, which should take about 30 minutes.
  10. In two small bowls, divide the frosting. Add purple and orange food colors as desired.
  11. Place a large piping bag fitted with a medium star tip on its side. Use a large icing spatula to spoon the purple frosting to cover half the length of the bag. Then, carefully spoon the orange frosting on top of the purple frosting.
  12. Insert the tip into the indentation of each cookie cup and squeeze the bag to fill the opening, piping about 2 heaping teaspoonfuls in each.
  13. Finish by sprinkling the remaining candy sprinkles on top of the frosting swirls.
  14. Store the cookies loosely covered at room temperature.
