Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 ounces) reduced-sugar sliced pears
  • 1 package white cake mix (regular size)
  • 2 large egg whites, room temperature

Directions:

  1. Drain the pears, making sure to reserve the syrup. Chop the pears into smaller pieces.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 50-55 minutes.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cool, dust the top with confectioners sugar for a lovely finish.
