Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 2 cups macaroni Cook al dente
Meat
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken
Vegetables
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Topping
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional) For serving

Method
 

Cooking the Macaroni
  1. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
Cooking the Beef and Vegetables
  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and green bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are tender.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Add the cooked macaroni to the skillet and combine everything together.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, and if you like, top with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm on the stovetop or in the microwave, adding water or broth if it gets too thick.
