Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 300 g frozen mixed berries Using frozen berries gives a creamier texture.
  • 1 piece apple, cored and sliced
  • 200 ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 150 g fat-free natural yoghurt
  • 25 g porridge oats, with extra fibre Can add more oats for a thicker smoothie.
  • 10 g flaked almonds Optional; can be replaced with seeds or other nuts.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the berries, apple, milk, yoghurt, oats, and nuts in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add 75-100ml cold water, a little at a time, to achieve a smooth consistency. Blend again.
  4. Pour into glasses and serve.

Notes

Serve chilled in a glass, topping with extra flaked almonds or berries for decoration. Store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 24 hours, stirring well before consuming.
