Preparation

- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently fold in the blueberries.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream, vanilla extract, and egg.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat it into a circle about 1 inch thick.
- Cut the circle into wedges and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with additional sugar if desired.
Baking
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
