Preparation

  2. Wash the Brussels sprouts thoroughly, remove discolored outer leaves and trim the ends.
  3. Cut the Brussels sprouts in halves or quarters for even cooking.
Glaze and Roasting
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, maple syrup, and Dijon mustard.
  2. Toss the prepared Brussels sprouts in the glaze mixture until coated.
  3. Spread the sprouts on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway through for even cooking.
  6. Once golden brown and tender, remove from the oven and top with optional toasted nuts before serving.

Notes

Ensure the Brussels sprouts have enough space on the baking sheet to roast properly. Check for doneness around the 20-minute mark to avoid overcooking.
