  • 12 oz wide egg noodles Cook according to package instructions.
  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced Sauté until golden brown.
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (spinach or peas) Feel free to choose your favorites.
Flavor Enhancers
  • 1 tbsp butter For sautéing mushrooms.
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder Enhances flavors.
  • 1 tbsp onion powder Adds depth to the dish.
  • 1 tsp salt To taste.
  • 1 tsp black pepper To taste.
Sauce Ingredients
  • 2 cups chicken broth Provides moisture and flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a creamy texture.
  • 1 cup grated cheese Optional, for topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a large baking dish.
  2. Cook the egg noodles in salted boiling water according to package instructions until tender, then drain and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat, and sauté the fresh mushrooms until golden brown and fragrant.
  2. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, followed by the shredded chicken or turkey, allowing it to warm through.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring gently to combine.
  4. Add the cooked noodles and any vegetables you choose to include, gently mixing until well-coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, and sprinkle a generous layer of cheese on top.
  6. Bake for about 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Achieve al dente noodles; avoid overcooking. Feel free to experiment with cheese blends.
