Preparation

- Cook the egg noodles in salted boiling water according to package instructions until tender, then drain and set aside.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat, and sauté the fresh mushrooms until golden brown and fragrant.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, followed by the shredded chicken or turkey, allowing it to warm through.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring gently to combine.
- Add the cooked noodles and any vegetables you choose to include, gently mixing until well-coated.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, and sprinkle a generous layer of cheese on top.
- Bake for about 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
Achieve al dente noodles; avoid overcooking. Feel free to experiment with cheese blends.
