Ingredients
  

For the energy bites
  • 1/2 cup almond flour (or oat flour) Use almond flour or oat flour depending on your preference.
  • 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
  • 1 cup creamy almond butter (or cashew butter) Can substitute with peanut butter or sunflower seed butter.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips or mini chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mix the almond flour, protein powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add in the maple syrup, almond butter, and vanilla.
  3. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour in the chocolate chips and mix well.
  5. Roll the 'dough' into 14-16 protein balls.
  6. Enjoy immediately or store in the fridge for later.

Notes

Store your energy bites in an airtight container in the fridge for about a week. They can also be frozen for longer storage. These bites are great paired with almond milk or added to a fruit and yogurt bowl.
