Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this dry mixture into the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the semi-sweet and white chocolate chips.
Baking
- Scoop the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving enough space between each ball.
- Press in reserved chocolate chips and sprinkles on top.
- Optionally, chill the dough balls for about 30 minutes.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack.
Serving
- Serve cookies on a festive platter, optionally dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Can freeze dough for up to three months.
